SmartDraw.com
SmartDraw offers a 30-day free trial of SmartDraw Photo. Their website offers a comparison chart of their product and 6 others available for picture editing. They have a tutorial along with examples showing before and after pictures of Photo Retouching, Graphic Creations and Photo Publishing. The software includes over 1000 stock images and a screen saver creator. In order to download the trail version they ask you to provide your name and email address.

Better Homes and Gardens
At www.bhg.com under the heading of More Tools and Guides you can find a program called Arrange-a-Room. This is an online program and not a download but it has some very unique abilities. This program will allow you to enter the dimensions of any room and add architectural details such as doors, windows and closets. It will then prompt you to add furniture or in the case of a kitchen, cabinets, a refrigerator and a sink. With the plug in that can be downloaded quickly it is possible to print any room that has been created. While this program cannot be used for legal documentation it can be used for showing furniture placement.
