Are
you serious about having a website that turns VISITORS into LEADS?
There are some tough questions you need to ask yourself about your
current site, and you may not like the answers. Whatever the state
of your current site and business, you may find that these website
New Year’s resolutions are essential to your list. So before
‘2005 begins, let’s make a few changes, and hopefully
improve your results.
Resolution 1
- I will spend TIME on my website
How much time
do you spend on your website weekly?
People want
more! If you want to have repeat visitors on your website, you will
need to add things that “keep ‘em coming”. No
one will come back and stay if it’s always the same. Schedule
time each day devoted to working on your website.
Resolution 2
- I will add VALUABLE content to my website
Do
you have more than “stock” content on your site?
A
great way to inform your website visitors and to attract search
engines is to add content on your website specific to your area.
You can add links on your homepage that will take your visitors
to pages you create relating to a specific area. On these pages,
talk about local attractions, share some of the city history, or
any other unique community highlights. Remember, your competitor’s
website is just a click away, so be CREATIVE!
Don’t
forget about your LISTINGS…the most valuable content of all!
Be sure to take some photos of your properties for sale and put
them into VisualTour! You want your properties to be shown at their
BEST on your website.
Resolution
3 - I will take advantage of the FREE programs and instruction available
to me
Are
you the person driving in circles that won’t stop to ask for
directions?
The
truth is that everyone needs a little help, and some of us need
a lot more than others. Don’t be afraid to ask for the help
that so many are willing to give to you freely. Participate in community
forums, take classes. KNOWLEDGE is POWER, so soak it in!
Resolution
4 - I will market my website EVERYWHERE
How
are people going to find out you have a website unless you tell
them?
Add
your website address to:
•
print materials and promotional items
• your car
• local newspaper ad
• voicemail greeting
Also,
actively investigate any available avenues in the media that “the
other guy” is not taking full advantage of.
Resolution
5 - I will incorporate a contact management program
Now
that you have people coming to your site, they ARE going to start
contacting you. Do you have what you need to manage your contacts
efficiently? Can your contact management program follow up with
website visitors AUTOMATICALLY?
If
you have a contact management program that does not currently interact
with your website, how many hours do you spend duplicating your
work with data entry? You can save that time and be on your way
to MAKING MONEY with an integrated program.
